OUR HISTORY

Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards are exposed to an average 1000 hours of sunshine in summer, 7 hours at 25°C. Our vineyards are made up of the following parcels - Font de Michelle, La Crau, La Pierre Plantée, Chartreuse, and Croix de bois.

As the archives state, our FONT DU VENT, Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards were planted with vines under Napoleon 1st.
Numerous Roman pottery shards and amphorae found on the site of the domaine. Archeologists have studied the land and believe it was a Roman olive farm.

Font du Vent, Vignoble vineyards are situated at Domazan in the Gard region near the Via Domitia (the Roman route that went from Rome until Spain), the land partly resembles that of Châteauneuf du Pape: chalky-clay soil with rounded pebbles; we can also find red clay earth and sandy loams.
